Dentures

Dentures, in simple terms, are artificial teeth that patients can wear to restore their ability to speak, eat and smile after they have lost their natural teeth. There are two main types of dentures that you can get at dental clinics – complete dentures (which are meant for patients who have lost all their natural teeth), and partial dentures (made for patients who have natural teeth present in their mouth, and wish to replace a few missing ones in the upper and lower arches). Complete and partial dentures are removable, unless retained with the help of dental implants.

Unlike implants, dentures only replace the upper portion (crowns), of missing natural teeth. When the ridge is short, patients may have to use denture adhesives to prevent the plates from moving in the mouth during function. Partial dentures on the other hand are retained in place with the help of small metal clips. We at Victoria Dental, use impressions, jaw records and facial analysis to design the perfect set of dentures for our patients – to give them complete oral rehabilitation at the most affordable prices. If you’re looking to replace missing natural teeth in your mouth, on a budget, give us a call today and we’ll take care of it!
